Iran's share in West Asia’s petrochemical trade enhances two percent

(MENAFN) IRNA quoted National Petrochemical Company (NPC)'s Director of Planning and Development Hassan Abbaszadeh as saying that Iran's share in West Asia’s petrochemical trade rose by two percent.

Iran’s share of petrochemical trade in the region stood at 20.2 percent in the Iranian calendar year that ended in March 2020 and it amounted at 22.1 percent at the end of the last year (March 2021), regestering a two percent enlargement.

Abbaszadeh further declared that “In terms of production capacity, Iran had a 2.5 percent share of world petrochemical production in 1398, which increased to 2.7 percent at the end of last year following the implementation of the projects defined for the second leap of the petrochemical industry.”

The official further declared that the country’s share of the world's petrochemical production capacity is improving as most countries are working to improve their capacity.
