    Iran’s exports from Golestan province jump by 68 percent

    (MENAFN) According to an Iranian provincial official announcement, the export worth from Golestan province, in the northeast of Iran, increased by 68 percent during the first 10 months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2021-January 20, 2022), in comparison to the corresponding time span of last year.

    According to Ebrahim Hosseini, the director-general of Golestan province’s Customs Department statement, commodities valued at about USD150 million were exported from the province in the ten-month time frame.

    The official also mentioned that the ten-month export also shows 92 percent expansion regarding weight on an annual basis.

    He stated that polystyrene, cheese, dates, pistachios, pipes, cement and tomato paste were the major exported items, and specified Kazakhstan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Romania, Poland, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia as the main export locations.
