    Predictions for Egypt’s economy to increase by 5.5 percent

    (MENAFN) Based on the chief economist at the World Bank in Egypt, Sarah Al-Nashar statement, the country’s economy is expected to expand by 5.5 percent in the 2021-2022 fiscal year as it is recovering to reach its growth levels before Covid-19.

    Based on Alarabiya, the official also mentioned that supposing the pandemic slowly lessens, the African nation is also predicted to attain an alike growth level in the upcoming fiscal year as well.

    The chief economist added, while public debt continues to be an obstacle in the face of the country’s economy, Egypt is implementing strategies to lower the budget deficit, and is following approaches to boost debt managing and expand sources of finance.
