Iran, Qatar trade may hit USD1B in upcoming year
(MENAFN) According to the head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) statement, the trade’s worth between Iran and Qatar could hit USD1 billion within the upcoming year.
Based on Alireza Peyman-Pak statement, “trade between Iran and Qatar is currently a small figure of about USD300 million-USD400 million, while there is the potential to increase to USD1 billion next year.”
The official stated referring to the visit of the president to Qatar, that this trip is intended at being present the conferences of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), and also gatherings between both nation’s officials in alignment with the growth of industrial, trade, transit, and tourism collaboration.
Mentioning the opportunity and volume of Qatar for investment and global collaborations, he stated: “Qatar has richer financial resources compared to the other Persian Gulf countries, and one of the approaches that this country pursues is investing in the region and distant countries.”
