Indian rupee falls compared to UAE dirham as external reserve outflows remain
(MENAFN) The Indian rupee depreciated 16 paise to 76.72 in contrast to the US dollar (20.9 versus the UAE dirham) in starting exchange on Wednesday, burdened by the power of the greenback and relentless foreign fund expenditures.
At the Indian interbank foreign trade, the rupee started at 76.69 compared to the American dollar, then lost ground to quote at 76.72, recording a fall of 16 paise from the last end.
Sriram Iyer senior research analyst at Reliance Securities stated that, the rupee started worst compared to the dollar on Wednesday as the American currency remained its rising course.
Iyer stated that Asian and developing market peers were varied, but expectations of incentive from China could reach the decrease bias of the peers and aid opinions for the regional unit.
