    North Khorasan export rises 84 percent on monthly basis annually

    (MENAFN) The chief of the region’s Industry, Mining and Trade Department declared that the amount of export from North Khorasan region, in the northeast of Iran, increased 84 percent in the opening month of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-April 20), as against the same month in the year before.

    Hossein Haji-Beglou stated that 15,300 tons of outputs valued at USD10.3 million were exported from the district in the stated month, signifying a 46.5 percent drop in terms of mass annually.

    He termed petrochemical outputs including urea, melamine as well as ammonia, in addition to steel products, polystyrene tools, tomato paste, empty cans, citric acid and floor rubber granules as the main products exported from the district and Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Germany, Pakistan, Georgia, Austria, Turkey as well as Romania as the main export destinations.

    He also stated that 27 tons of farming output worth USD16,000 were exported from North Khorasan in the opening month of the current year, accounting for 3 percent of export from the district in the stated month.
