TASI closes Sunday recording its worst drop since December

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s benchmark index, TASI dropped 4.44 percent to 11,299, its worst end since last December, while the similar market, Nomu, decreased 3.55 percent to 20,740, at the ending bell on Sunday.

This was motivated by perceived negativity between financiers after the Federal Reserve's verdict to increase interest rates to fight inflation, reigniting worries around financial expansion.

Saudi Aramco, the biggest player on the Saudi oil market, closed today’s exchange losing 4.03 percent.

Al Gassim Investment Holding Co. earned 8.40 percent, topping the market earners; Wafrah for Industry and Development Co. lost 10.00 percent, topping the decreased.

Arabian Contracting Services Co. decreased 4.05 percent, after the inking of a contract with National Housing Co. to form a combined project.
