    Turkey’s stock exchange records its highest ever close on Monday

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index finished with earnings on Monday to close at its highest ever closing of 2,656.32 points.

    After opening the week at 2,605.80 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index added 63.94 points, or 2.47 percent, from Friday's end of 2,592.38 points.

    Throughout the day, the index's worst worth stood at 2,600.28, whereas its day-to-day peak reached 2,656.76.

    The entire market worth of the BIST 100 was nearly 2.1 trillion Turkish liras (USD118.3 billion) by market end, with a day-to-day exchange capacity of 35.6 billion liras (USD2 billion).

    One ounce of gold exchanged at USD1,750 by market end, in line with data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

    International main Brent crude was exchanging at USD103.36 a barrel at 09.47 AM regional time (0647 GMT) for a 0.58 percent decline following the prior session ended at USD103.97 a barrel.

    American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at USD97.56 a barrel at the same time for a 1.07 percent dorp after the last session ended at USD98.62 per barrel.
