    Iran’s steel production surges 34 percent annually in July

    (MENAFN) The most recent report issued by the World Steel Association (WSA) presents that Iran’s crude steel production has surged 34 percent last month whereas the worldwide average expansion level reached 6.5 percent, as reported by IRNA.

    According to the WSA figures, Iran outputted around two million tons of crude steel in the stated month, whereas the number stood at 1.49 million tons in July last year.

    The Islamic Republic outputted 17.4 million tons of steel in the January-July period of this year to record a 3.2 percent surge in comparison with the same 7 months in 2021.

    Iran’s steel output was at 16.8 million tons in the opening seven months of last year.

    As shown by WSA report the world’s 64 steel manufacturers achieved to output 1102 million tons of the commodity in the first 7 months of 2022, 5.4 percent lower than the number for the last year’s same period.
