TEDPIX closes Wednesday’s session 1,800 points lower
(MENAFN) TEDPIX, the benchmark index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 1,840 points to 1.439 million on Wednesday.
As mentioned in reports, 4.677 billion securities valued at 38.162 trillion rials (nearly USD136.3 million) were exchanged at the TSE.
The first market’s index fell 1,747 points, and the second market’s index fell 2,500 points.
TEDPIX dropped 9,004 points (0.62 percent) in the last Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).
According to reports, 32.361 billion securities valued at 219.753 trillion rials (nearly USD784.83 million) were exchanged via 1.741 transactions at the TSE in the last week.
The figure and value of exchanged securities fell 20.4 percent and 5.4 percent, individually, whereas the amount of agreements dropped 7.18 percent in the last week from the prior week.
TSE is one of the four Iranian share exchanges, the additional three ones are Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), as well as Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, also known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB).
