    Venezuela’s Minister invites Iranian investors to improve its mining sector

    (MENAFN) Venezuela’s Minister of Transportation Ramón Blázquez has summoned Iranian financers and specialists to contribute in the improvement of the mining and mineral industries of his nation, according to IRNA reports.

    Blázquez made the comments on Monday in a gathering with top mining officials and specialists from Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

    Talking about Iran's advancement in the sector of mining and mineral businesses through the last twenty years, he expressed that “We have set Iran as our role model for achieving a non-oil economy and we are trying to use the experience and knowledge of Iranian engineers to develop our mining sector.”

    Adding to his speech at the gathering, IMIDRO Board Member Jamshid Molarahman highlighted the friendly ties among Iran and Venezuela, stating that “Good political relations are a prerequisite for the development of economic relations between countries and fortunately, positive relations have already paved the way for the development of economic cooperation between Iran and Venezuela.”

    “This is a good opportunity that both sides should take advantage of,” he assured.
