Fishery outputs shipments from Iran’s Mazandaran rises 176 percent
(MENAFN) According to a provincial official announcement, the worth of fishery outputs shipment from Mazandaran province, in the north of Iran, surged by 176 percent in the opening five months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the last year.
Qasem Karimzadeh, the director-general of the province’s Fisheries Department, stated that more than 2,030 tons of fishery outputs valued at USD4.2 million were shipped from the district in the stated five-month period, signifying a 56 percent increase in terms of mass as well.
He mentioned that aquatic feed constitutes in nearly 50 percent of the fishery outputs shipments from the district.
Most of the province's fishery outputs, which are fish feed, have been shipped to several European as well as Asian nations, such as Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, Qatar, Russia, Iraq, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, in addition to Afghanistan, as stated by the official.
