Borsa Istanbul starts Tuesday's session on higher note
(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started the session at 3,272.20 points on Tuesday, surging 0.37 percent or 12.05 points from the prior end.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was 0.65 percent lower to end Monday at 3,260.15 points, with a day to day exchange volume of 54.8 billion Turkish liras (USD2.97 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira selling price surged to 18.4737 at 9.55 AM regional time (0655GMT), from 18.4500 at the prior end.
The euro/Turkish lira trading price jumped to 17.8218 from 17.8100, whereas a British pound sold for 19.9162 Turkish liras, dropping from 19.9860.
International benchmark Brent crude sold at USD84.19 a barrel at 09.42 AM regional time (06 42 GMT) for a 1.6 percent surge from the ending cost of USD82.86 per barrel in the prior exchange day.
American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI), exchanged at USD77.94 a barrel at the same time, surged 1.6 percent after the last day ended at USD76.71 per barrel.
