    TASI ends Sunday’s session on lower note due to high inflation

    (MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s benchmark index, TASI, closed the initial session of the week in the negative area, with shareholders remaining worries around peak inflation in the Kingdom.

    The Tadawul All Share Index lost 0.14 percent to finish at 11,405, whereas the similar market, Nomu, lost 0.13 percent to close at 19,744.

    Saudi oil giant Aramco finished the session 1.13 percent down, whereas Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. was slightly declined by 0.14 percent.

    Saudi National Bank, the Kingdom’s biggest lender, closed the day unaffected, whereas Saudi British Bank surged by 1.64 percent.

    The nation’s highest valued bank, Al Rajhi, earned 0.49 percent, whereas Alinma Bank was 0.84 percent higher. Saudi Co. for Hardware, recognized as SACO, climbed 0.60 percent, after the appointment of Abdel-Salam Bdeir as chief executive following Haytham Alhamidi resignation.

    Scientific and Medical Equipment House Co. jumped 4.76 percent to top the earners, whereas Salama Cooperative Insurance Co. lost 6.19 percent to top the decliners since last week.
