Saudi Arabia starts initiative to improve supply chains for industrial outputs
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resource has started an initiative targeted at improving domestic provision chains for nearly 9,000 industrial outputs.
This happens as the ministry looks to surge the level of industry and domestic content’s expansion, as said by the Saudi Press Agency.
The initiative targets to expand awareness of domestic provision chains and the industrial area in Saudi Arabia.
It also targets to improve mechanisms for reviewing local supply chains, as well as resolving the obstacles that small and medium enterprises are dealing with in going into supply chains sector.
This comes as an outcome of the need of accumulating the needed data around the outputs and making it obtainable to the related authorities.
This initiative would allow classifying the production prospects that appeal domestic as well as foreign financing.
Saudi Arabia is also operating to install 59 logistic zones to boost provision chains as well as logistic facilities, the Saudi Press Agency mentioned in a report quoting Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh Al-Jasser.
