Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul to establish 2 additional indices
(MENAFN) Turkey’s share exchange Borsa Istanbul prepares to start two additional indices, the BIST Sustainability 25 as well as BIST Participation Dividend, on Monday.
As mentioned in an announcement from Bosra Istanbul on Friday, big and liquid firms performing high on sustainability have been chosen for the BIST Sustainability 25 index.
"The index selects 25 companies with the highest daily average trading volume and the free float market value among the companies that provide minimum sustainability rating," the firm asserted.
This additional index is going to perform as a benchmark and fundamental asset for retail as well as institutional financiers who need to set their money in sustainability.
The BIST Participation Dividend Index is going to be made up of equities of firms that reach the range criteria of the BIST Participation as well as BIST Dividend indices together.
"The BIST Participation Dividend Index will provide retail and institutional investors who make investment decisions according to participation finance principles to easily identify companies operating in accordance with these principles and that have the habit of paying dividends while making their investments," it mentioned.
