Saudi administration looks to drive domestic workshops with additional initiative

(MENAFN) The seeds of a robust industrial area in Saudi Arabia have been expanded by the minister of industry and mineral resources as he revealed a Stimulating Local Industry initiative that might drive the nation’s determinations to surge into the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Bandar Al-Khorayef prepared how the program is going to motivate funding in the area, surge the percentage of domestic content, rise functioning competence and develop the competitiveness of the domestic workshops, spur employment and ease technology transfer into the area.

“The Stimulating Local Industry will be an umbrella for many initiatives, including the Future Factories and Promising Factories launched today, in addition to other initiatives that will be announced later,” Al-Khorayef stated in a ministry press letter.

The Workshops of the Future program prepares to change 4,000 factories with automation and modern technologies into trailblazers of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the convergence of developing technology domains including nanotechnology as well as biotechnology.
