    Erdogan: Türkiye's defense shipments to reach USD4B in 2022

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s defense shipments, which were standing at USD248 million in 2002, are preparing this year to reach higher than USD4 billion, leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Monday.

    While giving a speech at Innovation Week, an event arranged by the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) in Istanbul, Erdogan stated that the amount of defense firms surged from 56 to more than 1,600 higher in the last 20 years.

    TOGG, the nation’s electric car venture, is going to take to the roads in a couple of months, he stated.

    The venture was launched 4 years ago and started its mass output stage two months ago (October).

    Referring to the nation’s oil reserves, he stated that the nation is going to surge oil output to 100,000 barrels a day in 2022.

    Underlining that Turkey will solve the high cost of living problem, which is the highest issue of the world even in Europe and the US, in a slow studied measures, the leader stated that "We will continue our struggle with determination until we include Türkiye among the top 10 economies of the world."
