    Saudi Arabia delivers first ever certified clean blue ammonia to South Korea

    (MENAFN) The world’s first commercial export of certified clean blue ammonia has reached in South Korea all the way from Saudi Arabia.

    A ship carrying delivering the 25,000 metric tons of cargo imported in Ulsan, having took off from the nation’s King Fahad Industrial Port at Jubail in November.

    The export was delivered by SABIC Agri-Nutrients as well as Saudi Aramco, in addition to officials of the firms on top of officials from South Korea’s Lotte Fine Chemicals to see the significant arrival.

    Abdulaziz bin Salman, energy minister of Saudi Arabia, stated “Through collaborations like those with SABIC and Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia is working towards becoming the world’s largest exporter of clean (blue) hydrogen by 2030. “

    The minister went further on saying that “Our Kingdom maintains large natural gas reserves and ample renewable energy which enable a capacity to produce clean (blue) hydrogen at a competitive cost – this can then be converted into ammonia.”
