    Iran’s records 3.4 percent surge in non-oil GDP in H1

    (MENAFN) Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) apart from oil surged 3.4 percent in the opening six months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21 – September 22) in comparison with the same time span past year, as shown by the Statistical Center of Iran (SCI).

    In line with SCI figures, the number counting oil in grew by 3.3 percent, as reported by IRNA.

    According to the report by the center, along with the fixed prices in the Iranian year 1390 (ended on March 19, 2012), the nation’s GDP reached an amount of 3.87 quadrillion rials (nearly USD 10.115 billion) counting in the oil sector, and at 3.326 quadrillion rials (nearly USD8.7 billion) apart from the oil sector in the stated six months, while the numbers were 3.745 quadrillion rials (around USD9.78 billion) as well as 3.217 quadrillion rials (nearly USD8.4 billion), individually, in the opening 6 months of the prior year.
