    IME witnesses USD731M value of goods exchanged in one week

    (MENAFN) Throughout the last Iranian calendar week (closed on Friday), 2,667,264 tons of goods valued at almost USD731 million were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

    According to reports by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the exchange traded on its metals and minerals selling floor 2,175,456 tons of goods with a worth of over USD478 million.

    On this floor the IME traded 1,080,565 tons of cement, 740,000 tons of iron ore, 248,093 tons of steel, 55,000 tons of sponge iron, 42,575 tons of zinc, 8,250 tons of aluminum, 6,042 tons of copper, 200 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 10 kg of gold bars as well as 6,728 vehicles.

    Additionally, the IME saw on the two import and export rings of its oil and petrochemical selling floor 431,282 tons of goods valued at around USD247 million.

    Commodities exchanged on this floor involved 201,820 tons of bitumen, 115,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 91,480 tons of polymeric outputs, 31,735 tons of chemicals, 17,000 tons of lube cut, 15,600 tons of sulfur, 8,381 tons of base oil, 3,100 tons of petroleum outputs in addition to 300 tons of insulation.
