    Saudia reports 12% increase in sales

    (MENAFN) The deputy director of Saudi Arabian Airlines, Abdul Aziz Al-Hazmi, said that after the strategic development programs, sales increased up to twelve percent, reported Arab News. Al-Hazmi mentioned that Saudi Arabian Airlines is preparing to privatize the airline through fleet modernization and technical infrastructure development. The company has so far privatized the catering and cargo sectors and is now working on the privatization of ground services. The deputy director also said that the company aspires to face regional and global challenges and to fulfill passengers' needs through high quality service improvements such as a new mobile phone service, issuance of boarding passes, selection of seats, and displaying flight schedules. Al-Hazmi stated that the carrier had previously purchased 88 new aircrafts from Airbus and Boeing companies and is currently expecting their arrival. It is worth noting that the national carrier plans to accomplish 5 goals this year including improvement of services, enhancement of operational efficiency, and increase in organizational efficiency.
