Saur possibly to sign Jubail water deal

(MENAFN) The Chairman of the French Water Company Saur, Joel Seche, said that the company plans on signing an eight-year agreement worth USD400 million with Marafiq, the Saudi utilities company, in order to provide water supplies in Jubail, reported Arab News. Sauer, which is the third largest public water management company in France, inked a USD46 million worth deal with the National Water Company in June 2010 to produce and distribute drinking water and provide sanitation services in Makkah and Taif, Seche said. According to Seche, Saur was handed the conduction of an audit of water and sanitation services in part of the Eastern Province in the year 2005 by the Saudi Ministry of Water and Electricity. Also, in 2007, the company won a twelve-month contract for technical assistance of water and sanitation management in Jeddah.
