    Saudi Arabia inks USD130m water deals

    (MENAFN) Saudi Minister of Water and Electricity, Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Hossein, announced that the country signed deals worth a total of USD130 million for projects specialized in water sanitation, reported Saudi Press Agency. The minister said that the deals cover projects in several water areas, such as water pipelines and networks, dam building, well digging, reservoirs, in addition to water sanitation. Al-Hossein also said that the projects would be held in the provinces of Makkah, Madinah, Baha, Northern Borders, the Eastern Province, Qassim, Najran and Tabuk. It is worth noting that the world's number one oil exporter highly depends on sanitized water. The Kingdom is considered the world's largest desalinated-water producer.
