Bin Hammam not cooperative in investigations: FIFA

(MENAFN) The FIFA ethics committee's report said that the Qatari Mohamed Bin Hammam, who ran for the presidency of FIFA, declined to give information needed for the investigation of bribery allegations, reported Arabian Business. Mohamed Bin Hammam was held for bribery allegations and it is claimed that he offered Caribbean football officials cash payments of USD40,000 each, but there was no clear evidence against him. The report added that Bin Hammam provided some documents, but refused to provide his banking records to the Investigative Counsel working for the FIFA ethics committee. Then he said that he is willing to cooperate and appear before the FIFA ethics committee. It is worth noting that Bin Hammam, the president of the Asian Football Confederation, had to withdraw from the FIFA leadership competition after being held for bribery, making it easier for his rival Sepp Blatter.
