    Saudi to pay jobless benefits starting Nov

    (MENAFN) Saudi Labor Minister, Adel Fakieh, said that for the first time, starting November, the government would pay jobless benefits, reported Arabian Business. Fakieh added that more than 1.5 million applications were received from Saudi jobseekers over the past few weeks at the time the country was expanding its plan to find jobs for nationals, moreover, the list of nationals who were waiting for jobs would be finalized also in November. He also said that next year, the Saudi government would ink agreements with Saudi banks in order to supervise the wages of Saudis and foreign workers to make sure that nationals were earning salaries that would raise in line with the cost of living. It is worth noting that the ministry planned other initiatives including finding jobs for people with special needs, giving incentives for those who work in remote villages and regions in addition to developing the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF).
