    Arab airlines must hire 36,000 new pilots between 2011-2030

    (MENAFN) Boeing Flight Services' chief customer officer, Roei Ganzarski, said that between 2011 and 2030, Arab carriers would need around 36,000 new pilots to operate the 2,520 new aircrafts that would be delivered during the period, reported Gulf News. Ganzarski added that global carriers would need 449,600 pilots to fly 33,500 new planes that would be also delivered at the same period. He also said that the UAE airlines hired more than 4,000 pilots, with Emirates Airline counting 2,687 first officers and captains, whereas Etihad Airways employed more than 1,000 pilots followed by Air Arabia with 270 pilots and flydubai with 244 pilots. It is worth noting that each year; Boeing trains around 30,000 people at 18 training centers worldwide.
