Embraer targets doubling sales to Middle East

(MENAFN) Brazil's Embraer said it eyes doubling its jets sales to the Middle East and Africa over the next two years, Arabian Business reported. Mathieu Duquesnoy, commercial aviation vice president for MEA, said the company has a 74 percent market share for jets with up to 120 seats in the region. He added that Embraer sees a potential for at least 310 additional units in the coming 20 years in the Middle East. Embraer jets are flown by nine operators in the MEA including Egypt Air, Gulf Air, Nasair, Saudi Airlines, Oman Air and Royal Jordanian. Embraer expects world demand for 7,225 new jet deliveries in the 30- to 120-seat capacity segment over the next 20 years.
