    UAE's Oct consumer prices up 0.4%

    (MENAFN) UAE's National Bureau of Statistics said that due to an increase in food and clothing costs, last month, consumer prices in the country went up 0.4 percent from September, reported Khaleej Times. The agency added that during the month, prices related to hotels and restaurants sector increased 3.07 percent, whereas prices of textiles and clothing grew 1.31 percent, however, cost of housing and medical care rose slightly. It also said that during the January-October period, consumer prices in Abu Dhabi grew 2.1 percent since food prices surged, whereas Dubai's annual inflation rate went up to a three-month high of 0.3 percent in October, also due to a rise in food prices. It is worth noting that although prices in October rose from the previous month, however, they fell by 0.05 percent from 2010's same period.
