Emirates' SkyCargo starts new service to Ghana

(MENAFN) Emirates SkyCargo launched a new route to Ghana, boosting UAE-Africa trade relationships, Arabian Business reported. The freight division of Emirates Airline said that it will fly a 117 tonnes capacity Boeing 747-400F every Friday between Dubai and Ghana. The new route to Ghana's Kotoka International Airport, via Togo, will carry goods including electrical equipment, clothing and mobile phones from the Far East and pharmaceuticals from Europe. Emirates has been operating a passenger service to Accra since 2004, with a weekly cargo capacity of 120 tonnes each way in an Airbus A330-200.
