Audi's Abu Dhabi sales soar 42% in 2011

(MENAFN) Audi Middle East's director, Jeff Mannering, said that due to higher demand on the firm's core SUV and new model launches including the new generation Audi A6, the carmaker's sales in Abu Dhabi surged 42 percent in 2011, reported Gulf News. Mannering added that the UAE managed to maintain its position as Audi's largest market in the Middle East, with a market share of 40 percent, adding that sales in Dubai in 2011 jumped 39 percent. He also said that the German automaker would expect to record strong sales in 2012, introducing new models, including the eagerly awaited Audi Q3 and S models, and continued investment from the firm's dealer network. It is worth noting that last year, China became Audi's biggest single market, with a recorded growth of 37.3 percent, whereas growth in South Korea was 30.9 percent, and in South Africa it was 20.4 percent.
