    Saudi's Nov non-oil exports jump 13%

    (MENAFN) Saudi Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) said that in November of 2011, the Kingdom's non-oil exports rose 13 percent from USD3 billion in 2010's same period to USD3.46 billion, reported Arab News. The department added that in terms of weight, the country exported 3,619,000 tons of products, with a drop of 8 percent from the 3,925,000 tons recorded a year earlier. It also said that 38 percent of total non-oil exports, representing the largest share of products, went to non-Arab countries in Asia, followed by Arab League member states with 15 percent, whereas exports to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and European Union (EU) states stood at 11 percent each. It is worth noting that petrochemicals represented 35 percent of non-oil exports, with a value of USD1.22 billion, followed by plastic products, with exports valued at USD1.19 billion.
