Emirates Airlines plans to seek compensation from Airbus

(MENAFN) Emirates Airline's president, Tim Clark, said that the carrier would seek compensation from Airbus due to widespread disruption and an expected loss of revenue, reported Emirates 24/7. Clark added that by the end of March, Emirates would be forecasted to lose USD90 million as a result of the A380 groundings that started in January. He also said that the carrier has found wing cracks on the 10 A380s that have been inspected so far, and all 21 in its fleet would need remedial work. It is worth noting that in February, European air safety regulators ordered checks for Airbus A380 wing cracks for the entire superjumbo fleet after safety engineers found cracks in almost all the jets inspected.
