Linde, Saudi Sadara ink supply contract for Jubail complex

(MENAFN) German technology firm Linde Group won a supply contract from Saudi Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara) for its under-construction chemical complex in Jubail, Arab News reported. The German group will supply Sadara's complex, which is poised to become the world's largest chemical complex ever built in a single phase, with carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen (H2) and ammonia (NH3). The on-site gases supply contract includes a HyCO facility for the production of CO and H2 plus an ammonia plant. Linde will be investing USD380 million in the project. Linde's Engineering Division will design, deliver and construct the new turnkey gases facilities at Sadara's site in the Jubail 2 petrochemical cluster. Sadara will use carbon monoxide, hydrogen and ammonia primarily for the production of aromatics, isocyanates (MDI and TDI), amines and hydrogen peroxide. Sadara was established in October 2011 as a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical Company.
