Qatar remains the most competitive economy in ME

(MENAFN) Qatar has remained the Middle East's most competitive economy on the new ranking list by the World Economic Forum, Arabian Business reported. Globally, Qatar advanced three places to the 11th position, out of 144 economies included, compared to last year's list, while Saudi Arabia stood at the 18th position, slipping one place on its 2011 ranking. The UAE also advanced three places to the 24th position, while Oman remained flat at 32nd. Bahrain too has advanced two places to the 35th position, despite months of political unrest, while Kuwait slipped three places from last year to the 37th position. Morocco stood at 70th place and Jordan at 63rd place, improving slightly from last year.
