China's imports of Kuwaiti oil rise 19.5% in Sep

(MENAFN) China's General Administration of Customs stated that the country's imports of Kuwaiti crude oil jumped 19.5 percent last month from a year ago, reported Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). It added that the country imported 721,000 tons of Kuwaiti crude oil, equivalent to nearly 176,000 barrels per day (bpd), raising Kuwait's share of China's total oil imports to 3.6 percent from 3 percent in 2011's same period. Crude oil exports in the January-September period increased 44.8 percent from last year's same month. In September, Saudi Arabia was still China's main crude oil supplier, with imports from the Arab Kingdom growing by 3.4 percent to 990,000 bpd, followed by Angola with 899,000 bpd. It is worth noting that at the third place came the Sultanate of Oman, which boosted its exports to China by 7.2 percent to 484,000 bpd.
