Hotel occupancy in Makkah at 90 percent

(MENAFN) Hotel occupancy in Makkah has increased to more than 90 percent around area of the Grand Mosque, raising hopes among investors that they make up for the losses made last year, Arabian Business reported. The total number of people who came on Umrah since the season opened last December hit 1.7 million. During the Haj season last year the number of pilgrims was cut by 20 percent due to expansion work at the Grand Mosque.
