Iraq's Kar Group wins a refinery contract

(MENAFN) Iraq's Kar Group won a contract to build a refinery in Iraq's northern Nineveh province, according to Gulf News. The project will also include a power plant in the same province. The refinery is expected to produce 90,000 barrels per day, and will be based in Al Khazar area in Hamdaniya town, said the province's governor Atheel All Nujaifi. All Nujaifi added: "Kar Group has been selected to build the refinery"it will soon sign an agreement to start the project."
