Work on 5 stadia for Qatar 2022 to begin this year

(MENAFN) Construction work on five stadia for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will commence this year Arabian Business reported. Project manager at Al-Rayyan Precinct for the country's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, said that the Gulf nation's preparations for the even are "on track". He said that Qatar will issue 10 tenders in 2014 for project managers and design consultants on the stadiums being built for the tournament. He said: "We are in the advanced stages of design work for six stadiums and this year we will see five stadiums begin the early works on foundations and construction."
