UAE's Du profit up 4.8 percent in Q1

(MENAFN) Net profit of Du, one of the UAE"s two telecom operators, boosted by 4.8 percent in the first three months of the current year, exceeding analysts' expectations, according to the Emirates 24/7. The company's net profit was estimated at USD133.5 million in the quarter compared to USD127.36 million in the same quarter 2013. First-quarter revenue was USD805 million compared to USD715 million a year earlier. Mobile accounted for more than half of du"s additional revenue.
