    Jordan trade deficit falls 4.6 percent in Q1

    (MENAFN) Jordan's trade deficit shrank by 4.6 percent in the first three months of this year compared to the same period in 2013, according to Arab News. The Kingdom's trade deficit was estimated at USD3.2 billion on the back of increased pharmaceutical exports. Department of Statistics data showed the value of imports in the first three months of the year stood at 3.78 billion dinars, unchanged from a year earlier. The kingdom's total exports boosted by 8.5 percent during the quarter to USD2.040 billion compared to the same period in 2013.
