UAE's Shurooq starts second phase of Flag Island development

(MENAFN) The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) said it has recently started the second phase of the Flag Island development, according to Arab News. In the second phase, the company will turn the island into a new tourist destination that offers varied facilities. The new tourist island is located near the downtown and the most popular places to residents and tourists throughout the year. Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, chairman of the Department of Public Works, said that the department is willing to be involved in development of the leisure and tourist destinations.
