Qatar's Muntajat, Milaha sign 2-year agreement
(MENAFN) Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company (Muntajat) and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) have recently signed a 2-year contract for the time charter of the LPG/C ALMARONA to primarily transport ammonia exports from Qatar to global Muntajat customers, according to the Peninsula Qatar.
The contract was signed by Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman and Managing Director of Milaha and Abdulrahman Ali Al Abdulla, Chief Executive Officer of Muntajat.
Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani said: "We have, over the years, built a close relationship with QAFCO and more recently with Muntajat, and we are very pleased to be able to extend this relationship."
Sheikh Ali added: "In keeping with Milaha's continued commitment to safety and the protection of the environment, this ship has been retrofitted with the latest available energy efficiency enhancing devices, which includes the Mewis Duct amongst others, together with the implementation of Energy Management Systems of world leading providers. This would definitely enhance the operational efficiency and lower the fuel consumption. We aim to continue to serve Muntajat in the best possible manner and bring added value to this sector for Qatar."
