    Lexus Middle East sales soar 20 percent

    (MENAFN) Toyota's luxury division Lexus reported an increase of its Middle East sales of 20 percent over a year earlier, with 21,598 units sold, Gulf Daily News reported.

    The Lexus IS luxury model posted sales of 1,332 units during the period, increasing 478 percent, while the Lexus GX SUV model sold 1,332 units with a growth of 364 percent.

    The LX premium SUV saw a 12 percent increase in sales with 9,178 units, including the Supercharged LX 570 which was rolled out to mark Lexus' 25th anniversary milestone.

    "It gives us great satisfaction to see that our new design direction has met with overwhelming customer acceptance all across the ME," Toyota Motor Corporation MENA Representative Office chief said.
