    Glass Point Solar receives USD53 in funding

    (MENAFN) Oman's State General Reserve Fund (SGRF) is supporting a USD53 million equity investment in GlassPoint Solar, Gulf News reported.

    The funding, which Royal Dutch Shell (Shell) and GlassPoint's existing investors are also participating in, is set to be utilized in helping in the distribution of GlassPoint's solar steam generators.

    GlassPoint, ,which is a solar enhanced oil recovery company, has been operating since late 2012 and has many projects including the main one in southern Oman in association with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) .
