MEA's healthcare providers to spend USD2.8b on IT services in 2014

(MENAFN)The healthcare providers in the Middle East and Africa are expected to spend USD2.8 billion on information technology products and services this year, registering 2.8 percent increase compared to last year, Gulf Daily News reported.

This increase in spending is expected to be focused on areas such as building patient databases, mobile health, and preventive and diagnostic and healthcare technologies.

Due to the current revolution in information technology, healthcare providers now must be able to provide a secure, efficient, and effective process to engage with patients if they hope to attract and retain their business, which resulted in them opening their own customer service center.

This contact center now serves as the core of the customer service arena and can be leveraged as a tool to achieve customer engagement excellence and ensure that every health care business stays connected with their patients and able to provide them with whatever service they needed.
