Qatari Nakilat net profit hits USD190.21m in 9M
(MENAFN) Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat) announced posting a net profit of USD190.21 million during the January-September period, increasing 25 percent when compared to USD151.78 million which was registered during the same period last year, QNA reported.
Nakilat said that these results are attributed to the company growing their main business activities in the field of liquefied natural gas (LNG) transportation to include international markets, which in turn has resulted in an increase in the number of operating vessels in Nakilat's fleet this year, and thus are a reflection of the company's strategy in exploiting
valuable opportunities to develop and grow the company's position.
The company also said that the strong improvement in the LPG vessels' performance contributed significantly to the increase in the net profit, as well as increasing their operating activities at the shipyard facilities.
Nakilat also said that they are currently considering future opportunities of expansion, which include acquiring new vessels, serving the international marine sector, and to increase the utilization rate for our shipyard facilities at Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard.
