Qatari Qapco signs partnerships with SAP, IBM
(MENAFN) Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco), a pioneer in petrochemical production, announced it has signed strategic relationships with both IBM and SAP for the development and implementation of an innovative enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform which will improve the company's overall performance, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
Qapco said that this collaboration with SAP and IBM will help in enhancing the company's processes and operational performance, while empowering Qapco to deliver long-term, sustainable value to all its stakeholders, with the the implementation of these technology solutions expected to be translated into significant efficiency gains and strengthen its competitive advantage.
SAP's innovative ERP software solutions is expected to provide Qapco with a cutting-edge platform that will enhance the company's operational performance and increase business efficiencies by allowing for more streamlined processes across procurement, manufacturing, service, finance, and HR.
"Qapco is a regional petrochemical powerhouse and a vital contributor to Qatar's ongoing economic strength. The company's success can be attributed to its strong commitment to both its people and processes, and now SAP is helping to bring those two critical assets even closer together, achieving even greater performance now and into the future," Managing Director of SAP Gulf said.
Meanwhile, through their partnership, IBM is expected to enable Qapco to make the most of investments in ERP software through business strategy consulting and advisory solutions, with IBM scheduled to bring the best of its global practices and a regional services team of experts to develop a long-term strategy to help Qapco best complete this project.
