Jordan's tourism revenue decreases to USD906.5m in Q1

(MENAFN) Jordan's tourism sector posted revenue of USD906.5 million in the first quarter of the year, marking a decrease by 11.9 percent year-on-year, Reuters reported.

The slump is due to the decrease of the attraction that the region currently elicits in light of the political and military tumults occurring in neighboring countries.

"We've seen a negative impact on foreign visitors to Jordan, especially in the first three months (of 2015)," Jordan's minister of tourism and antiquities said in a statement.
