    Egypt's e-commerce market to hit USD2.7b by 2020

    (MENAFN) Egypt's e-commerce market is set to record a total of USD2.7 billion in the five upcoming years, doubling from their present volume at USD1.4 billion, Daily News Egypt reported.

    Furthermore, the total e-commerce market of Arab states will record USD13.4 billion by 2020, compared with this year's USD7 billion, a report issued by Payfort showed.

    The entertainment sector in the market will increase, reaching USD10 million in Egypt alone, almost double when compared with this year's USD6.25 million.

    "Egypt has the most online buyers [15.2 million] of any country in the Arab world. However, by proportion of the population, the UAE and Kuwait have more online buyers and are easier for ecommerce companies to penetrate." The report said.
